I enjoy interacting with you and gladly welcome your comments. To ensure that comments enhance and not detract from the blog, I’ve created a formal comment policy. It is based upon, but not identical to, that of OptiNiche.com.
Comment Moderation
Comments, trackbacks, and pingbacks to Book of Trogool are not pre-moderated, but in order to maintain the integrity of the blog and its content, all are subject to deletion after posting. I am the sole judge of the appropriateness of comments, and my decisions are not subject to appeal. Arguing with me publicly or privately about a deleted comment will cause me to ban you from commenting and/or delete your email unread.
Language, Length, and Format
This blog invites a diverse audience with different sensibilities and opinions. Sexist, homophobic, racist, able-ist, and similar talk stemming from unconsidered privilege may be edited out of your comment; in extreme cases it will cause me to delete your comment and/or ban you from commenting further here. Please avoid harsh language and the use of profanity. Flaming, trolling, or use of threatening language will cause comments to be deleted and their posters banned; additional action may be taken at my discretion.
If an entry gets you fired up, or makes you think so deeply that the words pour from you like an overflowing fountain, please publish it as a thought on your own blog and trackback. If trackback is disabled on your blog, you are welcome to leave a comment summarizing your entry with a link to continue reading it. Harangues are subject to deletion, as are rapid-fire comments that dominate or monopolize conversation.
Ideally, your comment will be under 200 well chosen words with paragraphs as necessary; whitespace makes the content easier to read on a computer screen.
Linking To Your Site and Others
Comments on Book of Trogool do not exist for you to promote yourself, your employer, your workplace, or your wares. Excessive and/or inappropriate links will be removed, as may the comment in which they appear.
You may, of course, leave a URL in the comment URL box. If the entire point of the comment appears to be leaving that URL, you are a spammer; your comment will be deleted and you will be banned.
