After this weekend's deluge that flooded much of the country-side southwest of London, the British press have stopped mincing words. Reports of monsoon- like weather associated with Mumbai have drenched the UK this summer. With more expected to follow, computer models used to predict the future course of global warming all show heavier rainfall, and indeed, "extreme rainfall events", as one of its principal consequences.
