Thinking Blogger Award

A while ago I was very graciously awarded a "thinking blogger award" by the blog Nobody Important.

Here's how it works:

1.If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2.Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme
3.Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).

Here's my list:
1.WorldChanging written by numerous authors
2.Aetiology by Tara C. Smith
3.Global Health Report & The Health Media Watch by Christine Gorman
4.DB's Medical Rants by Dr. Robert M. Centor
5.Your Health by Keshav Chander MD

I know, I know, technically that's 6 blogs. I have also been tagged in the "8 random things about me" meme. I will post on that later.

Shelley at Retrospectacle tagged the Chimp Refuge for a Thinking Blogger Award Hey, thanks, Shelley, but when you mention "scathing wit," we know you're talking about Kev and Jim because women just aren't funny. Anyway, the rules for the tag you're it blogger game are to be found here at The…
Shalini at Scientia Natura has bestowed upon me the Thinking Blogger Award. I'm honored. I've always thought I probably think too much, so it's nice to receive some accolades for it. (Normally, I see it more as a curse.) Fortunately or unfortunately, this 'award' looks suspiciously like a meme: 1…
The relatively recent addition to ScienceBlogs, first-year medical resident, Signout, very generously tagged me with recognition as a "Thinking Blogger" on her list of "Five Blogs that Make Me Think." This meme was started in early February by Ilker Yoldas for peers to recognize content-rich blogs…
Yesterday, I got tagged with a meme by the inimitable Dr. Flea, of whose recognition I am totally not worthy. Although normally, memes, meh, this "Thinking Blogs" meme gives me the opportunity to give props to several excellent thinkers and writers who routinely send my tiny brain into spasms of…

Hi Karen,
I see you finally took this up. I wasn't sure that you would and that would have been OK. I look forward to checking out these other bloggers. And to reading the 8 random things post when it comes up

I definitely appreciate being tagged by you in this meme! There are so many blogs I like so it took me a while to put the list together. These 5 authors are among my favorites, though.
