Sad news for us all: Steve Gilliard has died.
For all of you who have ever played with little toy soldiers (and I don't mean that as a perjorative), Steve Gilliard's piece on (Party)-Jumpin' Joe Lieberman is really funny.

There was an interesting article on yesterday's Washington Post website about the backlog of equipment maintanence. The line, buried deep in the article, that really struck me was this.
"Despite the work piling up, the Army's depots have been operating at about half their capacity because of a lack of funding for repairs."
So, where do all of those billions go?
