This one is for my readers in Oxford. The Oxford Internet Institute is hosting what could be a semi-relevant and interesting talk this Wednesday at noon. Here are the details:
Ophelia Benson has a post up looking at an interview between Benjamin Nelson (a sometime commenter here) and Chris Mooney.
I like to joke that in Kansas, biology is political science. Even when I'm doing job interviews outside of this grand state, people usually get the joke, or need only slight prompting to get it. I take this to be a sad commentary on the state of politics in Kansas.

The person who nominally controls access to the President is still Joshua Bolten. In reality, his job involves letting the VP do whatever the hell he wants.
As to who replaces Rove, I'm guessing that Joe Hagin will probably move up a chair. Like Rove, he'll almost certainly assist Bolten in the important task of letting the VP do whatever the hell he wants.
