- Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics - Indiana
- Center for Theoretical Biological Physics - California (San Diego)
- Joint Quantum Institute - Maryland

The NASA Astrobiology Institute has announced the selection of the new Centers chosen in response to the 5th Co-operative Agreement Notice.
Ten centers were funded, joining the 4 pre-existing centers from CAN-4.
In their efforts to protect the most vulnerable workers from illegal workplace practices and conditions, worker centers have now attracted the million-dollar ire of formidable anti-union forces.
