Some blogosphere buzz on SETI having found candidate signals during a search of Kepler candidate exoplanets, are NOT true.
Kepler-SETI interference
there is narrow band signal in some of the data, but it is terrestrial interference.
Nothing to see here.

OK. What do you think of the "Wow" signal?
I think it is interesting, a puzzle and that we need to see another signal.
I know of no simple explanation for it.
Sorry to be tardy to the party.........but.......They have not provided any explanation for what caused the interference. They simply state, oh BTW this is what we would expect it to like like, and we DID collect this datat while pointing at these candidate planets, and we DID conclude its very similar to what we want, but its of course not what we want. So There, thanks for stopping by, move along now. Seriously?
As the SETI folks note, these narrowband signals still appear when they move the antenna - that is impossible if the signal is from a distant extraterrestrial source, but will happen if the signal is local earth-bound interference
Therefore, without knowing which specific source is producing the interference, the signal is know to be terrestrial.
