Tripoli 6 Update

The five Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor were found guilty earlier today, against all the scientific evidence of their innocence. I second PZ's sentiment about this.

The case of the Tripoli 6 -- five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor now a Bulgarian citizen (for background see here) -- is in its final throes. It is not pretty.
At 3:50 am EDST I received the welcome news, via Declan Butler, that the Tripoli 6 were free and on the tarmac in Sofia, Bulgaria. All are Bulgarian citizens and were released by the Libyan prison authorities as part of an extradition arrangement.

Bullshit. They are innocent. The science clearly shows that. This is nothing more than a cynical ploy by the Libyan government to redirect anger away from the government and its primitive hospitals and towards foreign scapegoats.

Exactly, Orac.

Not to mention the $5.7 billion in compensation and the release of the terrorists being held in a Scottish jail, which is what Libya is demanding to release these innocent health care workers.

I agree
