SBC - NC'07: Skills Session

Just finished with the Skills Sessions. About a dozen new blogs were started there. Everyone works at their own pace, so I'll give them a few days to get their feet wet before I link to them, blogroll them and ask you all to give them some commenting love! They look really promising so far!

Today is Memorial Day, and I feel compelled to say something about it.
There is something that has been bothering me about students learning in college. The question is, how much do I treat students like adults and how much do I treat them like children? I have been leaning towards treating them like adults. For example: do I require them to come to class?
Mike Vanderboegh is one of those teabagger patriots — he's very upset about illegal immigrants, he's one of those paramilitary fanatics, he hates Democrats, and lately he's gotten completely unhinged about the passage of our watered down health care bill.

Hi Bora, Do you have any instructional materials you could post from this session -- powerpoints, handouts, instruction sheets? I'm going to explore doing similar sessions when I get back from sabbatical and would appreciate anything you could share. Thanks.

(PS. Lulu is telling my that my copy of the anthology has shipped. YAY!)
