Moving Day

Welcome to the new Cognitive Daily! If you've been a regular visitor to the old Cognitive Daily, then I don't expect you'll find much has changed. Cognitive Daily, whether in our old digs or with our snazzy new host, is a great place to read about peer-reviewed psychology research explained in language that everyone can understand. And if there's something you don't understand, or if you'd like to engage in a more in-depth discussion of an issue, feel free to ask a question in the comments section.

In the past we've had some great discussions, ranging from the impact of video games to the nature of beauty to the validity of IQ. We're looking forward to more of the same, right here.

For now, the new Cognitive Daily doesn't have much of a history, but we're planning on gradually moving our archives here as well, so you'll have access to a growing database of articles about fascinating cutting-edge psychology research. If you're new to Cognitive Daily and can't wait to see what else we've got, we encourage you to visit the old site at cognitivedaily.com. What we can't guarantee is that the comments section over there will remain open much longer (spam demons loom). We'll try to move everything over here--even the comments.

Again, welcome to the new site. We're glad to have you!

More like this

Dave, it might be even better if you have the ability to tell web requests to redirect from the old site to the new one, particularly for the web feed. Some control panels give you the ability to set redirects, or you can do it by hand in the .htaccess file.

Jack, do you mean just refer users to the main blog here, or refer them to the specific post that I've duplicated here (still working on that, clearly)? It seems to me the second one would be a lot more work, and the first one would be less convenient for users.

Hi!

One day after, and I already noticed that Science Blogs was the first place to go (after checking e-mail) in the morning. All of my favourite science bloggers in one place! How cool!
