From up in Juneau, Alaska, my pal Nick Bonzey at the US Forest Service thought I'd appreciate a good dose of nudibranchs, claiming 'these guys are MUCH cuter than your average sea cucumber.'
Admittedly, with photos like these from National Geographic's David Doubilet, Nick might just be onto something...

Now really, you ought to give Phila some credit for the concept of "Friday Nudibranch Blogging." He's been doing it for years.
Now Miss Sheril, I've been trying to tell you for some time that nudibranchs are way cooler then sea cucumbers - at least visually . . . . why does it take cool photos for National Geographic to make you see the light?!
Careful Philip, I did not say cooler, but rather agreed that these photos are pretty darn cute!
Besides, it's not a fair competition until we see what photographer David Doubilet can do with a handsome holothuroid as his subject ;)
Now I want nudibranch slippers.
Wouldn't they be cute?
Baddest nudibranch on the planet
@ donna: I could easily see someone making a slipper pattern from these. After all, people have been known to knit and crochet the digestive system and hyperbolic space......
