Just in case any of you haven't heard yet, tomorrow night the Science Communication Consortium is going to hold its next meeting on "emerging media outlets" & science communication. The SCC was formed by my fellow Scibling Kate (among others), and Carl Zimmer will be speaking on the panel tomorrow, so Sb will have a definite presence during the gathering. Previously I had said that I would be at the meeting, but that's before I realized that my human osteology lecture met on Thursday nights. As much as it pains me to miss it, I probably won't be able to make it. Still, hopefully some of the people who are there will blog about it as the week ends.

It was first done around 9/ll time & had scenes set in Shanksville. With the announcement of Chastity's sexual reassignment the web of the play's concerns has atectonically expanded to include this profound evolution of species.Show Biz kids are a special species. Having met Chastity in Hollywood around 6 years ago I can tell you she/he is one fine individual & iconclast..A startlingly good writer & an authentic person. I am happy for her decision & a brave & timely one for the transgender community. Compassion & concern for these disenfranchised persons is now neede. This play is being staged in Hollywood with 'grasshopper R.I.P.' That drama concersn the ex-Yellow Pages salesman who now studies Madam Blavatsky's white lotus. Carradine, a guru, an old soul a mystic is here.David Carradine is from an acting family dynasty. I had written plays for 2 other Carrradines -- Sid & Brenda.
These were done in Mississippi & NYC & NJ. Sid dated Cybil SHeppard in college & escorted her to a cotillion. His Mom Elizabeth did nota pprove of show biz types & extracted the extra /r/ out of Carradine to have it be pronounced CARA-DINE
