Didn't I just have a tabby kitten?

I might have failed to mention this, but last Tuesday Mishu was adopted. Emma and Elise are still here, and Beatrice has gone back to the adoption center (although I'm sure we'll be seeing her again), but this afternoon Tracey and I got another call that there was a 4 week old kitten that needed a temporary home. I named him Huxley, and although he'll be with us for at least another 4 weeks, I'm sure he'll have no problem getting adopted.

A recent email I received was pretty typical - I won't quote it here because the person meant well, but the sum up was this - they laud my decision to adopt, argue that I should have done it earlier, and point out that adoption is the solution to the population crisis.
Gwenyth Paltrow has one. So does Angelina Jolie, U2's Bono, Meg Ryan, and Mia Farrow. Now Madonna wants one too. No, I'm not talking about the latest Dior sunglasses or Fendi purse (although I'm sure it would look fab on Bono)---the "in" accessory lately seems to be African orphans.
I found this trackback to an angry and not terribly coherent response to my post about Catholic Charities pulling out of the adoption business.
