Sorry, not a female, but a male in eclipse. You can tell by the faint remnants of the chestnut breast feathers and the yellow bill, when the female's is orange/black. :)
We used to have some meander around our house for quite some time--almost like pets. We'd feed them and they'd fertilize our lawn. They were very fun, yet I had such a trouble figuring out if the young ones were to be male or female. It's nice to know that you can tell by their bill color!
