American bison, Bos bison.
It is my understanding that brucellosis, a disease that affects humans, bison, cattle, and elk, is transmitted from Bison to other Bison or to other animals such as cattle via contact with fresh afterbirth.
There are also bison in Utah's Henry Mountains. The Henrys are a laccolithic range in south-central Utah. The bison were released there in the 1940s. They came from Yellowstone. The Henrys are pretty cool to hike in, as is the remote region to the west of them. The bison are wary and don't tolerate close approach, unlike some other bison elsewhere.
