The latest edition of the Tangled Bank is at Aardvarchaeology. I think you have to read it: I believe that is hypnotoad on the top of the page.

The blue tit researchers don't appear to have read the existing blue tit research. They speculate about male plumage being linked to fitness when this is something already known to be acted on by females. I read it the other year. This might be it (or at least an account of it since it doesn't look quite the same).
