Dorothea Salo, the Digital Repository Librarian at the University of Wisconsin (see her professional website here) has arrived to teach us a thing or two about information science. She's already taught me something about loading powerpoints as website useful content (see below). It also serves as a great way to learn about her area of expertise.

A comment Chris Rusbridge left on a previous post leads me to clarify the extent to which the subject matter of this blog draws on my own position in the institution where I work, and that institution's take on matters data-curational.

I expect blogging will be lighter than usual between now and next Thursday as I have two conferences coming up.
On day three I only made two sessions - and the second was incredibly disappointing (I have serious problems with the study design) so I'll just briefly chat about the first, which was pretty awesome.
