Its summer, which is why its poured with rain. More floods, etc etc. Here it was only somewhat wet, though it stopped in time for the friday evening pub visit.
And it was also the last day of school: Miranda has just finished her first year, a momentous... milestone.
And so its holiday time. Back in a bit.

Here is a letter from the Yale Project on Climate Change Communication:
Dear Friends,
KDE 4.0 is upon us. I believe it is essentially out there, being tested and messed with, with the final launch etc. happening in a few weeks (mid January).
KDE is a Window Manager (no "s" in that Window, please note) for Linux. I'm not big on KDE myself, but my daughter uses it.
And I like that.
This is something that started last midweek, but that travels, a cold, and intermittent internet connectivity conspired to distract me from until now.
Looks like AGW has shifted rainfall patterns:

Just what was expected,
and all this seems to be clearly seen in the global context - http://www.dartmouth.edu/~floods/ - is somebody surprised?
...on to William's holiday venue, no doubt.
