Donors choose---almost there!

You guys are great. Large donations continue to trickle in, but really, we can live quite well off of small donations. It would be really cool if we finished off the drive with a bunch of micro-donations, in the 1-10 dollar range. These small donations add up really quickly.

A Story to Tell is $97 away from being fully funded, allowing the teacher to buy a laptop and printer.

Inner City Soccer Team is a bit more of a challenge with $376 to go. There is no reason we can't get this done before the end of the week.

So let's do it---a buck here, a buck there, and soon enough...

Before heading off to the Charleston Conference last week, I blogged about the big announcement of Pierre Lassonde's big $25 million donation to York to found the Lassonde School of Engineering.
With hundreds of seemingly worthy charities out there, how do we decide which ones to donate to? Even if we eliminate charities that aren't effective, there are still too many choices, and too little money, to donate to all of them.
This year's DonorsChoose challenge is doing pretty well, with the total standing at a bit over $2,200. Thanks to all who have donated thus far.
As you have no doubt noticed, the annual DonorsChoose fundraiser is under way, raising money to help school teachers and children.

I just wanted to say thanks for promoting these. I've given $150 to DonorsChoose projects this month alone that I probably would have spent on something for myself if you hadn't been posting about these. Thanks!
