Thanks to reader Claire for finding this strangely poignant yet bizarre short film. I'm not sure what to think of this one.

I liked it - the style is reminiscent of some National Film Board shorts, and I found the surrealism quite intriguing. I like the message too - you don't have to kill everything that's unfamiliar just because you think it might hurt you or seems icky.

Brilliant. Love it.

Funky earth daddy wise-father figure guiding child through threat/response, and empathy with other species on the edge of the conscious/unconscious interface. Complete with train-of-thought, side path, hallucinatory meanderings, like dancing nipples and nose, and a musician who has clearly consumed far too many stimulants, support the main story.

He wisely sidesteps the whole what-if-they conjecture with an admonition to 'get real' and a little empathy, and offers up a happy ending.

I think the whitehouse.gov website needs to link this - It's a good message for goodwill - for humanity and the planet! Thank you for sharing it!
