The AIP's Physics News Update this week highlights a paper on the laser cooling and trapping of radium by a group at Argonne National Laboratory.
That's an awesome video. It is sometimes hard to notice the constant but gradual progress in information sharing and such on the Intersphere when you're caught up in the middle of it.
