Yes, it was May 18, 2009 that I opened a new chapter in Confessions of a Science Librarian history.
One year on Scienceblogs -- it's been a fantastic experience, one that I'm looking forward to continuing for the foreseeable future.
Now, where's the cake?

Matt has put up the latest and greatest edition of The Boneyard, guiding visitors along a haunted fossil-picking tour of the best paleo-blogging from the past two weeks. Trust me, this one is not to be missed.
Happy blogiversary!!!!
No food in the library!
I stick out my tongue at blf and offer you cake.
Congratulations. Keep up the good work.
Um, I'm thinking you should be providing the cake for us, John. Congratulations, anyway.
Happy blogoversary!
Thanks, everyone!
Still no cake, but I'm hoping for a beer or three this coming long weekend. Though not in the library, still no beer allowed here. Although I could tell you some stories...
Happy Birthday!
Congratulations, John!
Now, 'fess up--how many years total have you been blogging? A little bit longer than a year I suspect. ;-)
Still, I am impressed with how you have kept it consistently going! Great work!
Cheers,
Connie
Thanks, Connie. Yes, it has been a bit longer than a year. I started blogging way back in October 2002, just a few days before my 40th birthday.
So, I'm coming up to eight years blogging, which seems pretty unbelievable. Nearly seven at my old Blogger site and now a bit more than one here at ScienceBlogs.
Blogging-wise, I was practically carving my posts into stone tablets back then.
