This was one of Reuters top photos for the day, yesterday. It shows a

albino alligator. Not only is it an unusual
subject, but
it is a pretty good picture.
I mentioned in my last post that humans love rare things, but not necessarily albinos. As Justin pointed out in the comments, that is not exactly true.
That is probably a leucistic, not albino, squirrel. It appears to have dark eyes. (Though it is hard to say from the photo)
Where I live, a huge percentage of the squirrels are either leucistic or melanistic (essentially, black). Grey is just barely in the majority.
I hit a true albino squirrel with my Jeep a couple years ago in Bucks Co. PA (it ran out from the woods! I couldn't avoid it! Really!).
It's probably still in a freezer someplace.
