Kellermann was the head of the troubled Freddie Mac financial institution. He had apparently hanged himself. A few news agencies are reporting it. Some details here.

It is disingenous for Kleck to take a quotation of Kellerman's out of
context to make it appear that Kellermann was asserting that only 2%
of of homicides were lawful defensive homicides.

Lott grossly misrepresents Kellermann's study. He states that "they fail to

Was he the one that was simply too hopeful that things would turn out OK if he just kept pretending?
In other news, at least 1500 farmers in India have committed suicide in a grisly way by drinking insecticide as their economic situation worsens. Some estimates go as high as 125000. And of course that leaves their families even worse off.
However, the number of suicides seems to be dropping. Is there no way to help these people?
head of the troubled Freddie Mac financial institution.
No, he was the acting CFO, according to the item you linked.
Scott: acting CEO = head. Head is not really a technical term, you see.
Actually, CFO, not CEO. A much less enviable position in this case. Responsible for all the financial controls but with no power to change how it's run.
Oh, sorry, my bad. CFO. I thought I heard CEO on the news report.
