In the second Cat in the Hat book (I think it is the second one), the Cat reveals that he has more smaller cats under his hat. They are labeled A - Z with Z being so small you can't even see. Question: What is the sequence of sizes for successive cats? How big would Cat Z be?

No, definitely a dog. A puppy - possibly an imperial toy dog or something? I'm not really up on my toy breeds, but it's totally the wrong shape for a kitty.
Of the two only cats have the necessary intelligence and sheer meanness to be truly evil :)

Cats are unequivocal in their disdain for all things not cat. Attack by cat is to be expected.
Dogs constantly reinforce their affections. When your dog turns on you that is more evil than when your cat does because of the conscious misdirection used by the dog.
I find that raising puppies and kittens together for their first year or so does wonders for the ability of three species to communicate more better.
