Actually, it's not going to be good - or visible at all - unless you've invested in a serious telescope. You'll need at least a 10" scope to have a shot at seeing it.

Greg, I think Mike meant that a 10" scope is nowhere near what a home astronomer would call a "small telescope".
It's more like a "what, only my firstborn? Deal!" kind of telescope to most home astronomers.
Right. 10" is large for the home small for the observatory. But there are 10"ers out there. I believe my sister has one or two of those.
