Always marching to a different drummer I have not read a single Potter book--but do intend to relish the whole series once I retire!

Good for you Tabor! In hindsight, I would definitely suggest waiting until you have ample reading time. I think the series is better if read as a whole. The first couple books are slow, but the series quickly picks up steam afterwards. By the end of the series, it doesn't feel very much like children's literature at all.

To everyone, I also recommend watching the interview from that episode, with Simon Schama (I think I got the last name right). Simon appears to be the second guest in history to control the interview.
