Male mountain bluebird, Sialia currucoides.

This bird surprised birders in Washington state by visiting Bainbridge Island this past weekend.

That's a stunner, all right. MOBLs are one of my favorite birds; probably because they are usually found in some of my favorite places! Nice shot!

That's a great specimen. The bluebirds down in Florida don't come anywhere near that shade of blue. Stunning quality of the shot, as well.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

I am dubious. With Photoshop, you can always make blue bluer.

Amaizing .....

I'm trying to figure out why this was listed in one of the more popular site's via stumbleupon. This is a section I frequent when relying on the collective good taste of fellow stumble users and tonight I am disappointed. This has nothing to do with science, this is another sad "photoshopped" argument.

Argumentum ad Adobeum: The assertion that if something in a photo is a particularly vivid color, it must have been Shopped.

Yes, folks -- bluebirds really are that colorful.

this photo is in no way photoshopped. if you had ever gotten out to see birds for yourself instead of complaining about something you know nothing about, you'd be quite aware of this fact.
