As soon as the weather begins to improve, the curbside fruit stands reappear like mushrooms after a rain. Generally, the fruits available at these stands are cheaper and of better quality than what you can get in a grocery store. The truly unusual fruits that you can only find at some of these fruit carts can be a little expensive, though.

I hardly know what to make of a story about market research on the top ten flavors predicted for 2008. For one thing, I have no idea what some of these flavors are. I had to Google several. But what do I know?
I wish I could find things like this out on Long Island. If any suburb dwelling NY'ers reading can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
How does someone get permission to set up this fruit stand on a public sidewalk? I mean, how many people do you have to pay off?
