Price: $75.00 U.S. [Amazon: $60.00]. SUMMARY: This book covers animal evolution during the Precambrian Era. The book is divided into four parts:
   1. The Background: The Archean and Proterozoic Eons.
   2. The Fossil Sites: Rare and Extraordinary.
   3. Other Evidence of Animalia.
   4. A Dramatic Crossroads- The Cambrian "Explosion"?

   A useful "Atlas of Precambrian Metazoans" fossils is included towards the end of the book. Anyone interested in the early evolution of animals will want this book!

1. In Search of the Ivory-billed Woodpecker by Jerome Jackson. Was: $15.95, NOW: $3.95. [Hamilton Books]. SUMMARY: The author's search for one of the few remaining ivory bills takes him across the US and into Cuba, while presenting a complete natural history of one of the most exciting and rare birds in the world. 3. Pterosaurs from Deep Time by David M. Unwin. Was: $39.95, NOW: $7.95. [Hamilton Books]. SUMMARY: Here is the first complete portrait of the legendary flying dragons of deep time, designed for non specialists, but founded on the real science of these bizarre creatures. Presented lucidly and accessibly by one of the world's leading experts, this book is built on a mountain of new fossil discoveries and the latest research. Well illustrated, most in color. 347 pages.
