Purjelaivaravintola (Sailboat Restaurant).
Photographed from the ferry on the way to Soumenlinna.
Helsinki, Finland.

As far as I know, this is a fully functional sailboat that travels from one port to another, where it sets up as a restaurant for awhile, before moving on.
Unfortunately, you can see the reflection of the ferry in the window glass that I was photographing through. Bummer.

I'm guessing "restaurant on a sailboat"? The current Finnish says "restaurant FOR (or "on board", as in an intention to build/start) a sailboat".
I must admit, though, that it's not quite so easy to come up with a good Finnish compound noun using SAILboat. I know "restaurant ship" is a bit bland, but IMHO that (ravintolalaiva) would be the clearest construction. Another reasonable option would be "purjelaivaravintola" (sailboat restaurant).
(**If you're concerned about the changed name with my e-mail, that's my Twitter id and therefore might be marginally more recognisable to you. It's shortened from my business, AS Watchmaking, whereas my old nickname I use elsewhere.)
thanks for the correction. despite living in germany, i feel more sympatico with the finnish language, even though my spoken finnish is only marginally better than my spoken german.
