As anyone with internet access and any objectivity knows, polar bears populations are not in decline.

Nor are the cute (well at least if you aren't close enough for them to eat you) furry white carnivores going to become extinct in the unlikely event that the arctic ice cap completely dissapears during summer months. They obvioulsy survived the last interglacial when the arctic was ice free in the summer, probably for thousands of years.
But of course, politics, emotion and a good photo-op are more important than scientific fact. It's really about "framing" the issue correctly.
Looks to me like AGW is all "frame" and no picture.

I dress in a Polar Bear costume to alert my fellow citizens just to the fact that Climate Change/Global warming is real and the innocent living creatures on Earth affected cannot be heard.I recommend one-person activism.I stand on busy intersections,waving at people with signs"Stop Global Warming"..The Polar Bear Suit helps make people smile back and wave. I can get this issue into local papers because they probably think this is "entertainment"....Please,I plead for copy cats(bears)to appear.."Take it to the streets"..Jean
