The political powers that be, (Republican Party, Democratic Party) will never allow anything like this to happen, just like they will not allow any other party or independent candidate to participate in the media circus known as the presidential debates.
Since Ross Perot had the impact that he did, it is just too much of a risk to allow a Ralph Nader, Bob Barr, Cynthia McKinney (Matt Gonzales, Wayne Allen Root, Rosa Clemente VP Candidates) into the discussion. Someone might figure out that they have better ideas than the stay-on-the-focus-group-tuned-message performance that we always seem to get.
No one said this has to be taken seriously! Of course it will never be agreed to; so what? I think the point is the challenge, the satire, the fun, and the point, which is that no one is challenging Miss Hockey Mom. And the fun. Did I mention that?
Sheril's smarter, more articulate, more sensible, cares more about everything, and would dust Miss Alaska (Runner up) in a pageant any day.
I think it's a great way to stir up conversation about things rather than thinking it would ever really happen.
