I heard, but did not see, wolves when I visited Yellowstone National Park this past summer, but the Nature film team had better luck during a winter in the same park. The above clip is a portion of the footage they shot and will be featured in the upcoming documentary "Clash: Encounters of Bears and Wolves." It is set to premiere this coming Sunday on PBS.

What a strange teaser, considering the title of the show. The only mention of bears is, "no bears will contest the carcass". I hope it's not like those documentaries that promise to show the real Loch Ness Monster and after a lot of minutes of drama (thanks mainly to music) they just admit at the end the nobody knows for sure. "We don't know for sure what it would be like if bears and wolves clashed, but we imagine it would be something worth seeing!"
Pough; Click through to the website. There's a photo (with a complete trailer) of a grizzly and wolves competing for the same carcass on the film's homepage. As some of the rangers said during my visit to Yellowstone it has become common for grizzlies to poach wolf kills, thus benefiting the bears during a time when some of their other food sources (fish, pine nuts) are dwindling.
I figured it would be the case, but it struck me as funny that you were using a clip that is pretty far from the title description. To be honest, I'm far more interested in the clip you showed than in any actual clash footage. Seeing the wolves interact with the eagles and crows is interesting enough.
