Tangled Bank

There's something else that's been going on for almost two years now: the Tangled Bank. And unlike creationist promises, it has delivered plenty of good, accessible science on a regular biweekly basis, and this week's edition at Island of Doubt is no exception.
Here you go, a few entries in the carnival genre, and your opportunity to say whatever you want. Carnival of the Animalcules Carnival of Education The Tangled Bank is coming up next Wednesday—send links to me or James Hrynyshyn.
Look! It's another massive edition of the Tangled Bank!
Welcome to the 49th issue of Tangled Bank. Honestly, I was blown away by the large number of contributions that I received (if I counted correctly, there are 34 essays in this issue). This response was unexpected, and I was awake almost all night preparing this for you, so I hope you are ready to settle in with a glass of wine while you devote your time and brain space to reading and thinking about science, nature and medicine. If there are any broken links, please notify me via email and I will fix as soon as humanly possible (well, after I wake up from my nap). Evolution My drinking pal and…
We have a new Tangled Bank at Aetiology: Tangled Bank #48. It's kind of grungy this time, somehow…does Tara wear a lot of flannel and come from Seattle?
I haven't been doing much today—I'm afraid I've got some bug that had me wrestling with my digestive tract all day yesterday (bad news: it won), sweating and freezing all night, and now today I'm just an exhausted lump. Fortunately, there's lots of other stuff to read. Tangled Bank is up at Kete Were. That'll keep you busy for a while. Then we've got a Teaching Carnival and a Carnival of Education, a Carnival of the Liberals, and a History Carnival. The Skeptics' Circle is looking for submissions, as is I and the Bird. I'm going to go huddle in my bed for a while now.

The Tangled Bank has grown so huge that apparently we now need a whole polytechnic university to handle it. Appropriately enough, I'm not on the academic faculty—I'm down in the health services clinic, checking out genitals.
These are the offerings for the semester starting February 1, 2006. Students are encouraged to sit in on a variety of classes during the "shopping" period. In addition to academic offerings, this listing includes programs in the residence halls and around campus. In one short week (on February 1, 2006), there will be a new edition of the Tangled Bank, hosted here at Adventures in Ethics and Science. Tangled Bank is a blog carnival of the best science writing (broadly construed) in the blogosphere. In previous editions, topics have ranged across many scientific disciplines and have included essays about the intersections of science and everyday life. The important criteria for submissions are that they be about science, nature or medicine, and that they have been published within the past two or three months on a blog. Following the example of…
