Congrats

I guess I haven't paid as much attention to the Pitch since Tony Ortega left, so somehow I managed to not notice that this year's annual Best Of awards were coming.

If you peruse our sidebar, you'll see that we won the Best Blogger award last year, with Greg Beck taking "Reader's Choice" and Tony's KC making a strong showing.

For whatever reason, there's no "Best Blogger" category this year, but the excellent … Just Cara won "Best Republican Blogger" and the new-to-me Frighteningly Uncommon Sense won "Best Blog About Life."

Note also that Paul Morrison won Best Politician. As for the rest: what Tony sez.

I've dropped out of the Kansas blogging scene in the years since I moved out to California, but I still have fond memories of the other bloggers in the area. Perhaps the most prolific, and undoubtedly the most influential, of the Kansas City bloggers was Tony Botello, of Tony's KC.
Tony Ortega, formerly of our own Pitch Weekly, will be the editor in chief of the Village Voice:
Yesterday, at the American Public Health Association annual meeting, I picked up a copy of Les Leopoldâs new biography The Man Who Hated Work and Loved Labor: The Life and Times of Tony Mazzocchi.

Hey Josh I thought of you this morning when I read that scientist were able to teleport matter. Yeah and you are so correct that since Tony left the Pitch has gone into serious overtime suck. But anyway I need to get my thing in order and relink your correct address, so dont think that Ive forgotten about you cause when you least expect it there Ill be reading over your shoulder trying to learn something.
