On a personal note

The boss is out of town.
My green card just got approved.
It's beautiful outside.

Enough blogging for today.

That's almost a haiku. With the following alteration, you'll be there:

The Boss? Out of town.
My green card just got approved.
Oh, beautiful day!

Congrats on the green card. So, how long did you have to wait? I was head-hunted by a private company in the US in April 2006 and we have just now reached the stage where the National Visa Center is forwarding my file to the US embassy in the country where I live. Then I'll have to wait ~2-3 months before being called in for a medical and an interview. Then I can go. The immigration attorney hired by my future employer estimates October this year = 1.5 years processing time in total.

Thanks Chris for reformating my post!

Ole, I sent out all the paperwork in October, so ~9 months.

Terrific news. Life indeed is good.

And 9 months is great. I think it helps being Canadian. I'm expecting mine to take over a year from when I send the paperwork.

Goodluck Sunil - I have to say that the "quicker" waiting time probably had to do with my marrying an American, rather than being Canadian.
