Via Jody Wheeler comes this story about Guy Adams, one of the national directors of Alan Keyes' Renew America, making this insane claim in a radio interview:
"Anyway... we were talking about homosexuality and basically about how a lot of homosexuals are beginning to have sex with animals and infants..."

Sex with infants??? That's illegal in all 50 states. Someone should challenge Guy Adams to report any such activity to the police. Be specific. Name names. It's a crime whether you're gay, straight, or ambivalent.
Sex with animals??? I've never cared enough to find out if it's illegal. It's not something I even wanted to think about. Again Guy should show some courage and publish the names of the people he know engage in this disgusting practice.
I honestly don't understand how people really believe these things.

Even scarier Jim? Apparently Guy is a Cook County police officer - yep, this guy is actually protecting us (shudder). If you read Joe's blog, he has the emails and comments Guy left on his site - including what come close to threats. I believe Joe is being advised and encouraged to report Adams' behavior to the proper authorities - he comes pretty close to threatening violence against Joe in his writing. Whether he has violated a law is pretty difficult to tell, but it is certainly unethical behavior for an officer of the court.
"Can't make it up?" Someone is.
There are horrendous cases of abuse of children -- but most of them involve adults who are heterosexual. One worries that an officer who appears to be unbalanced may be winking at some cases of child abuse in order to pursue those against people he dislikes. Our nation depends on our trust that our law enforcement officers are fair, or are working to be fair after many demonstrations in the past that some miss that ideal.

It's funny. I've gotten used to the anti-gay crowd saying all manner of noxious things over the years. I can usually shake my head, say something about there not being any evidence for their claims and go about my way.
This charge of baby-raping though...
Personally having investigated the abuse of infants, I found this man's comments beyond the pale of so many things.
Incidentally, if you check out the top post of Joe's site, Mr. Adams has removed all references to his police affiliations from his various bios, claiming it was never there in the first place.
"Sick" just doesn't seem adequate to describe his behavior.
For people who believe the Earth (and Universe) is 6,000 years old, this isn't surprising.

His site was either hacked or the database crashed. He isn't certain which yet, and is holding for tech support.
Hacking is a bit of a concern as last week AfterEllen.Com was hacked by Muslim fundamentalists.

On a side note, I heard a BBC report about the massive rape problem in South Africa some months ago. At the time, a recent rash of baby rapes had gotten people very angry, calling for death sentences, etc. I still think about the reports of one man, who left a 6 month olf baby girl for dead in a ditch. I can't even think about it without wanting to vomit and kill the evil bastard who did that.
But these cases were not same sex, so are apparently not worth getting upset about.
And last, if you are screwing animals you are decidedly not a homosexual. They're called zoophiliacs, I think. Same for child raping, of course. You would be a pedophile, not a homosexual.
The traditional Christian blood libel accusation is that the "other" kills Christian children and uses their blood. Nice to see nothing has changed from the middle agesa. Don't fall off the flat Earth!

Zoophilia and homosexuality are not mutually exclusive, nor are pedophilia and homosexuality.
Of course, there's absolutely no necessary connection between them, either.
Mr. Adams makes me sick...with so much legitimate reason to condemn homosexuality such as the fact that it destroys men in every way one can be destroyed, there is no need to forward garbage.
