Phil, of Bad Astronomy fame, has been offered and accepted the chairmanship of James Randi's Educational Foundation. I think that's a great choice by Randi and a great honour for Phil. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

I don't usually announce these sorts of things on the blog, but since Randy is a long-time friend, colleague and fellow Habs fan, I just had to make an exception.
Yesterday, James Randi put up a blog post in which he questioned the validity of anthropogenic global warming.
For many years now I have been nursing the angst that is born of wondering what was going to happen when Randi stopped creaking along the path of enlightenment and abandoned us all to a world of darkness and obscurantism. Now I can sleep in peace.
I don't know why James Randi gets and entire foundation for education and I had to take out loans or mine. It's not fair, man.
