A few years ago I needed to image some ants for a short taxonomic paper.  Lacking a decent specimen imaging system (like Entovision), I decided to snap the photos at

Great photo -- almost too good to be real. Such scenes do appear in the Rockies and other western U.S. ranges.

What prompted me to write is your call for proper attribution. I hope you are successful in finding who deserves credit. It bugs me endlessly that so much good writing and good photography is passed around uncredited, or improperly credited.
