This is a fun quiz to play with and I think it is reasonably accurate, although rather singular in its focus (I think it should give percentages as to what your different intelligences are), but what do you think?

The neurobiology of intelligence
We went round and round on this well over a year ago.
Via David Heddle, I came across this announcement for a conference in Texas entitled “Intelligent Design in Business Practice.” From the announcement:
Well, we know the test author's dominant intelligence wasn't linguistic.
I'm suspicious of polls, name origins, etc. that just have different ways of complimenting you. Give me a poll that reports back: "you suck at X" and I might believe it were less of a gimmick.
This one doesn't bill itself as doing that, though. It's narrowly focussed on picking out what you do well. You can assume, I suppose, that you don't do the others well.
And typing errors - even genuine spelling errors - have nothing to do with linguistic competence. Spelling is highly artificial and a skill many genuinely brilliant speakers and writers don't master, just as many pedestrian writers and awful speakers - people incapable of writing a paragraph worth reading - master totally. I'm not denigrating spelling, but it's not part of "linguistic" competence.
I was also linguistic. I agree with you that they should have percentages, since that's the whole point of the "multiple intelligences" theory of learning.
Your Dominant Intelligence is Logical-Mathematical Intelligence.
Lucky for me that I'm an engineer then :o)
I was suprised at having to pick one out of each set of options as often more than one applied.
"You do not have a dominant intelligence. You are
crap at everything. You are destined to die young and impoverished, mourned by no-one."
Did I do something wrong?
Heh. Is "Mad genius" one of the options? ;-)
OK, I get "Linguistic Intelligence", which is probably more correct than the alternatives. But yeah, there's a few questions where certain combinations of answers would themselves be diagnostic of interesting things.
"15. You enjoy word games like I enjoy word games like Scrabble, Boggle, and Anagrams."
Wait, is this one of the word games you like like I like?
Despite the inanity of these things, it was interesting to reflect on my answers. Some of the things that used to be "easy" for me - adding large numbers in my head, for example - or more fun - word games, for example - are no longer as important to me as they used to be. I'm reduced to only being able to do the Monday NY Times crossword puzzle in my head. Things have changed as I've gotten older.
I got:
Your Dominant Intelligence is Spatial Intelligence
You've got a good sense of space and how the world around you looks. You can close your eyes and "see" images. You have innate artistic talent. An eye for color and shapes, you're also a natural designer. Since you think in pictures, visual aids and demonstartions help you learn best.
You would make a good navigator, sculptor, visual artist, inventor, architect, interior designer, or engineer.
