Focus Features have a little contest going on for the chance to win a pair of rather tasty limited edition Pony shoes created specially for 9, the upcoming science fiction feature from director Shane Acker, produced by Tim Burton. I'm interested in the role of science in the film - the central figure is The Scientist, whose creations bring about the end of mankind, but are also responsible for the continuation of humanity. So is science the hero or villain in this film? I'm trying to nab an interview with either Shane Acker or writer Pamela Pettler to explore these issues further.
In the meantime, perhaps you can win some prizes? The image below is a fragment of a larger image, of which there are 9 parts. If you can track down the other 8 images on the web, and put them all together, you'll be able to crack the code at www.9experiment.com Simple as that really. I'm not giving you any clues as to where the other fragments are located, you'll just have to find them yourselves.
The grand prize winner will win a pair of the limited edition Pony shoes created exclusively for 9, and 8 runners up will receive promotional prize packs of movie-related loot. The winners will be randomly selected based on their entries to www.9experiment.com once they've solved the pierced-together images and visited the site.
Of course, you could always try a brute force attack - with 20 icons and a four digit code that's only 4^20 possibilities. Each attempt has a 1 in a 1,099,511,627,776 chance of being correct! Get to it!
I think this is worth mentioning (copy-paste from the sweepstake rules, sorry for the caps):
ELIGIBILITY: SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, THIRTEEN (13) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF ENTRY DATE.
Well that sucks.
Is this what you were talking about in your last post, or are we still waiting for that?
Nah, something much bigger and better coming soon. x
