The 83 year-old author of the song which made Mr. Clean a household name died a few days ago. Cadden was a graduate of the KU journalism school; he still has family in the area. He worked in advertising from the 1950s through the '70s, and worked as a freelance composer and writer after that.
He will be missed by one and all, but especially by bald and balding men in need of role models.
I was Tom's secretary (1959-'68} at the Tatham-Laird Advertising Agency. Tom will always remain in my memory as being one of the kindest and most fun to be with persons. I miss his newsy Xmas cards. My deepest condolences to Loretta and family. Rest in peace my dear friend.
