Hat tip to Jon Rowe for the link to this blog, Electric Commentary. It reads like a list of my favorite things.

Session description: Much of the science that goes out to the general public through books, newspapers, blogs and many other sources is not professionally fact checked. As a result, much of the public's understanding of science is based on factual errors.
I'm currently the president of the local chapter of Sigma Xi (an honor society, not a fraternity, thankyouverymuch), and as such have been collecting RSVP's and dues for this year's new inductees.
I don't watch many films, but I thought I would pass this along...
Nick called it first: Flags and Lollipops has "calculated" the hottest science bloggers on the Net using a "Hot ot Not" type algorithm.
There is an even more interesting twist: "Danny Noonan" --a 24 year old 2L Law Student -- is the posters REAL name.
LOL. He must get really, really tired of having people "Nnnnnnnnnnnn-oonan". And I'm guessing the next person that says, "Be the ball, Danny. Danny, you're not being the ball", is gonna get punched. And what's the suck up line he uses on Judge Smales? "I've always been fascinated by the law, sir". Perfect for a law student!
On one of the threads I asked him if he were a law-student yet or a did he turn out to be a "ditch-digger"? He, at first, took it as an insult before I explained the context (as Judge Smails said to Noonan, "well the world needs ditch-diggers too you know!").
I only took it as an insult because there were two "Jonathans" commenting and one of them was hostile and I was confused as to which made the comment. I think the two lines I hear most are:
"do you do drugs Danny?"
to whic I always reply:
"every day."
and
"I like you Betty."
