It is possible they look much better in person than in this photo but, based on your postings, I would have to say that the New York Subway art is the clear winner so far.
They do look better and more interesting at your photostream.
From what I've seen from the photos, the New York pieces are more conventionally decorative, unlikely to bother anyone; the Helsinki piece is a bit more out-there.
Is there more art in the Helsinki metro?
I like to see art in public places, beyond the usual statues of dead blokes and mixing in something a bit avant garde keeps things interesting.
