Thanks for bringing The Kinks to my attention... it's been a while since I listened to their music. Ray Davies is one of the best British singer-songwriters ever, right up there with Richard Thompson and John Lennon.
One of my favorite recordings from the group's heyday is Muswell Hillbillies.
